My piece for a group show at Portland's Architectural Heritage Center, where artists make pieces about what they'd like to preserve in Portland. I chose to celebrate the incredible video store Movie Madness. There's something magical about browsing physical objects on a shelf and discovering something strange and wonderful next to whatever you came in looking for. As great and valuable as internet resources are, they are no replacement for the community and sense of discovery brought by physical collections and libraries. And beyond that, you can find plenty of films here you'd struggle to track down online.
